Our Projects

Preserving the Master's Vision

The Byun Shi-ji Foundation is dedicated to a variety of ongoing projects that seek to protect, archive, and promote the artistic vision of the master. Our initiatives range from the digital restoration of deteriorating canvases to the curation of permanent archives in Jeju, ensuring that his unique aesthetic remains accessible for generations to come.

One of our cornerstone projects is the "K-Modernism Global Initiative," which focuses on organizing international travelling exhibitions and facilitating academic research on Byun Shi-ji's philosophical contributions to 20th-century art. Through these efforts, we aim to solidify his place in the global art history discourse.

We are also committed to educational outreach, developing interactive programs for students and local communities to experience the "Wind and Light" of Jeju through the lens of Byun Shi-ji's masterpieces.
